It’s no secret that we love used wedding dresses. In fact, it’s not uncommon for us to spend hours pouring over beautiful gowns to try and pick a favorite (an almost impossible task!)
Today, we decided to pick 5 used wedding dresses that we simply swoon over. Sexy, modern, glamorous, romantic or traditional, whatever your style, there’s a gown for you.
Israeli haute couture designer Inbal Dror is a name growing in popularity in the wedding world and highly sought after by trendsetting brides. Her exquisite designs celebrate the feminine form with sleek, chic and sexy shapes that set her apart in the world of boutique bridal fashion. Make no mistake: wearing an Inbal Dror gown will attract attention.
Trained in Tel Aviv, Dror spent time in Milan to further develop her craft working under designers like Roberto Cavalli. Her sultry designs pull inspiration from more modest vintage styles but offer modern updates that reveal sensual surprises in all the right places such as figure hugging fabric, deep backs and barely there straps.
Opting for more fitted silhouettes like trumpets, mermaids and sheaths that cling to the curves, many of the gowns flare out into dramatic skirts, ending in incredible cascading trains, lending romance to the risqué.
Inbal Dror designs offer two main signature touches: a revealing back and perfectly placed embellishment. Dangerously deep backs ensure you look just as incredible going up the aisle as you do coming down. The handcrafted embellishments highlight a woman’s femininity and add eye catching bits of glimmer and shimmer.
Glamour in the tiniest of details add a sense of luxury: fluttery cap sleeves, pearl encrusted straps, delicate ruching. The latest collection “Paris 2013″ features vintage touches with delicate French laces, airy tulles and intricate pearl and Swarovski detailing.
There’s no question that wearing Inbal Dror will ensure you are remembered; Dror’s designs are not for the shy or conservative woman. The designer herself has stated she makes gowns for the confident bride – one who is daring enough to wear her gowns as if they were “a second skin.”
The sensuality of the gowns is kept in check by romantic, vintage inspired details. Fitted lingerie inspired bodices and plunging necklines often pair with with long sleeves and careful use of lace. You would be hard pressed to call a Inbal Dror gown modest, but they are understated in their sensuality, and still remain elegant.
Previously only available to brides who traveled to the Inbal Dror atelier in Israel for fittings, slowly the gowns have become available in select high end bridal salons elsewhere in the world. Modern, fashion conscious brides who desire the unexpected and unique will enjoy wearing a name that is not yet mainstream in North America. Celebrities who have worn Dror designs to their nuptials have included Basketball Wives: LA’s Gloria Govan, Israeli model Shirley Bouganim and Deanna Burditt, wife of Pawn Stars’s Rick Harrison.
An Inbal Dror gown would shine at a dramatic ballroom reception or a candlelit ceremony in a Gothic cathedral, but really could be worn at just about any style of wedding – as long as you have the confidence to make it work. Are you brave enough?
Today’s featured wedding comes to us from the historic Spanish Colonial estate, Casa Romantica. And just as the name of the venue suggests, Brooke + Pedro’s ocean front wedding was delightfully romantic, enveloped in the most beautiful California sun. I love how sultry and figure flattering Brooke’s Inbal Dror gown is, with it’s low back, slinky straps and lace + crystal detailing…And to think this might not have been Brooke’s dress! Brooke had actually purchased another dress but knew in her heart that she had to have an Inbal Dror. You were so right Brooke!
Brooke + Pedro | June 21, 2013 | Casa Romantica San Clemente, CA | Dress Listing: Inbal Dror BR-12-16
The Ceremony Our ceremony overlooked the ocean and pier in San Clemente…a very romantic and classic wedding. We each wrote our own vows, the groom is Brazilian and read a poem by Tom Jobim in Portuguese. We also had a sand ceremony, which combined sand from where I am from, Capistrano Beach in California. As well as where the groom is from, Rio de Janeiro, Brasil.
The Reception
Our reception was overlooking the ocean view at Casa Romantica. We had Reggae/Classic Rock music playing in the background with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres served, such as caprese salads and stuffed artichoke hearts.
Brooke’s Dress Search I wanted a form fitting dress that was sexy, yet elegant. That is exactly what I found with my Inbal Dror gown.
How Brooke Felt in Her Wedding Dress Sexy, Elegant, Beautiful
Why Brooke Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress I paid a lot of money for it and spent so much time trying to find it. It would be great to make another bride’s day complete and get some money back in the process.
Black, white and fuchsia made a bold wedding palette at Dacia and Jason’s vineyard wedding. This wedding was all about fun: the dancing started as the bridal party moved down the aisle and didn’t stop until the wee hours. Dacia was a modern bride wearing a sensual Inbal Dror wedding dress. The lace gown had just enough vintage charm to match the classic winery venue and allowed Dacia to get down with her groom.
Dacia + Jason | June 7, 2014 | Dahlonega, Georgia | Dress Listing: Inbal Dror, BR-12-5
The Ceremony Our ceremony was overlooking the north Georgia mountains. It was a fun ceremony where we danced down the aisle to “Happy” by Pharrell!
The Reception The reception room, which sits above Wolf Mountain’s winery, has the look and feel of a luxurious cabin with a breathtaking view of the foothills of the Southern Appalachian Mountains. We used this as a basis for our theme which was rustic with a modern twist. We had an incredible buffet style dinner decorated with wrought iron candelabras embellished with wood textures, feathers, candle votives, and mirror centerpieces. Our menu was sophisticated Southern Style cuisine with some of our favorites being the sweet potato and pecan souffle, fried pimento mac and cheese, and baked salmon with brie cheese mornay. At some point during the day when everyone was getting ready the groom’s uncle said that he wanted to do something fun and dedicate it to us. He and the groom’s dad plotted that he should paint his toenails pink to match the ladies, but he took it a step further and added a calligraphy J on one toe and a D on the other. He revealed his surprise during the toast for all to see. Classic!
Because we started the wedding off with a choreographed dance down the aisle to “Happy” by Pharrell all of our guests were ready to have a great time. We lined danced to the “Cupid Shuffle,” jumped around to Baltimore house music, and ended the night with everyone singling along to Fun’s “We Are Young.” This was just the end of Jacia wedding Part 1. We ended the evening dancing and singing at the post reception party at in the cocktail lounge of Dahlonega Square Hotel, a newly renovated historic hotel on the square. It was perfect!
Dacia’s Dress Search I tried on about 10 dresses from two stores in Atlanta before I tried on my gown. I stumbled upon Inbal Dror when searching for dresses worn by celebs at awards shows because I knew I didn’t want a traditional dress. There is only one store in Atlanta that sells this designer. I tried on two dresses by Inbal Dror, and I thought the first one was going to be the dress until I tried on my dress. I knew immediately that it was THE dress and the search was over!
How Dacia Felt in Her Wedding Dress Sexy, Feminine, Fabulous
Why Dacia Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress The dress is so amazing, and I truly fell in love with it, but repeatedly asked myself, “Why keep it locked up in my closet?” It would not do such incredible artistry any justice to have it sit in my closet year after year. But, if I could wear it again, I would!
Don’t you just love long sleeved wedding gowns? They are demure, romantic and just so feminine. Before Kate Middleton’s Alexander McQueen gown, brides had few long sleeved wedding dress choices. But today, there are so many pretty options available. Here are just a few of our favorite PreOwned choices.
All eyes will be on you as you walk down the aisle. Make a serious impression on your guests with these daring open back wedding dresses. Deep dips and delicate lace and dramatic embellishments create a look that your guest (and your groom!) will never forget.
The romance of a wedding in the woods cannot be denied. Amie and Thomas hosted their nuptials on a California ranch surrounded by friends and family underneath enormous oak trees. Post-ceremony, they shared their celebration inside rustic barns, dancing into the night. Amie’s sensational lace Inbal Dror wedding dress was the perfect mix of sensual glamour and elegant lace for the event, elevating this woodsy wedding to the next level.
Amie + Thomas | March 14, 2015 | Oxnard, California | Dress Listing: Inbal Dror, BR 13-27
The Ceremony Our wedding was a short and sweet ceremony held on a beautiful grassy lawn underneath oak trees at sunset.
The Reception We hosted a vintage, rustic reception held in a renovated barn. Romantic lighting featuring vintage chandeliers hung from the barn rafters. The linens were all handmade by me and the tables were peppered with vintage milk glass vases and green and white florals. The cake topper was handmade by my grandfather.
Amie’s Dress Search I honestly didn’t try on that many dresses. I’m not a big shopper or a girly-girl and I mostly can be found wearing a t-shirt and jeans. I knew I wanted my dress to have long sleeves so that also limited me to a smaller selection. I actually purchased one dress a little too quickly because that’s how much I don’t like shopping! I was so glad to be done but later realized I jumped the gun. Then I went shopping with three friends and found my dream dress. It was love at first sight and I had to have it.
How Amie Felt in Her Wedding Dress Perfect, unique and myself.
Why Amie Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress I honestly have had a tough year with my health. I knew I wanted this dress more than anything but it was really out of my budget. I knew if I bought it, I would have to sell it so I could keep up with my bills. As much as I’d love to keep it, I know another beautiful woman will love this dress as much as I do and I hope that it finds another home!!
Not much will steal the show from a venue as magical as the one Logan and Summer chose for their ranch wedding, but I think Summer’s wedding gown does. She looked perfectly polished in a lace Inbal Dror gown and accented the ceremony and reception with loads of white florals, antique furniture, chandeliers and decor. Personal touches filled the day, including a slideshow with photos of all of the guests and a surf board guestbook. The end result? A stunning vintage winery wedding oozing classic California style.
Summer + Logan | September 17, 2014 | Malibu, California | Dress Listing: Inbal Dror BR 14-24
The Ceremony We hosted our wedding outdoors with wild animals all around — horses, zebras, water buffalo, camels, mini horses, goats, llamas and more — surrounded by rows of grapevines under a big willow tree on huge winery. We had driftwood with orchids, calla lilies and moss lining the aisle along with huge long stem calla lilies wrapping around the altar and a flower girl handed people orchids as she zigzagged up the aisle. My grandma walked me down the aisle.
The Reception Our reception had a sort of magical fantasy feel, with hanging lights and chandeliers from trees. Centerpieces made of driftwood with orchids and calla lilies and moss with vintage chairs. We sat on a vintage love seat. A huge projector screen with photos of us and our guests through our childhoods as we grew up cycled through, with a photobooth for our guest, including wardrobe changes for more modern photos. Guests dined on handmade pasta made fresh along with carving and seafood stations and huge dessert buffet featuring more than 20 different kinds of candy, wedding cake and five other desserts.
Summer’s Dress Search I tried on five dresses. With one, started to tear up once it was on and knew that had to be it. And when my mom, mother-in-law and grandma saw me, everyone felt it was a one-of-a-kind special dress. Per Logan’s request, it had a low back and was form-fitting across the rear.
How Summer Felt in Her Wedding Dress Ravishing, angelic and magnetic.
Why Summer Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress I want someone to feel how special I did in it and be able to afford it. I was actually the first person in the world to purchase this dress and got to meet the designer Inbal Dror herself. I know if I have a daughter she will have a style of her own and want to experience her finding her dress like I did with my mom, mother-in-law and grandma.
This gown is a work of art. The Inbal Dror 12-05 features a sweetheart strapless neckline and dramatic tulle ballgown skirt. The corseted bodice is created with a sheer back panel for eye catching detail. It’s no wonder that brides who wear this dress feel beautiful and sexy on their Big Day.
The 12-05 retails starting at $9,500 and starts PreOwned at $4,399.
Israeli designer Inbal Dror’s Fall 2017 wedding dress collection was a glamorous and sexy as ever. Romantic and feminine, Inbal Dror’s latest gowns included beautiful embroideries, delicate laces and lots of sparkle. If you want a daring gown with a sophisticated silhouette, you’ll love these dresses!
Laura + Michael | June 24, 2016 | Killarney, Ireland
Seven years after they started dating, Laura and Michael tied the knot in a pretty afternoon ceremony at Muckross Park Hotel in Killarney, Ireland. Full of personal touches (like centerpieces made by the bride and a cake created by the groom’s mother), these nuptials radiate with joy and happiness. We adore how Laura found her Inbal Dror on Pinterest before she was engaged, but even then, knew it was her dream gown.
Laura’s Wedding Dress Search
I’m with my now husband over 7 years and like every girl started making my wedding Pinterest account very early on in the years. I pinned this wedding dress and said that the exact dress I would love if I ever have my day. After I got engaged, I went up with my mother to try it. I had my dream dress, that I never thought I could get, I felt like a million dollars, could not stop looking at it completely feel even more in love with it in real life!
Why She’s Selling Her Inbal Dror Gown
I decided to sell my dress simply because I believe if your not going to wear it again either sell it on or give it away to somebody who will.
Sarah and Ben’s modern and pretty wedding will make you smile all day. And Sarah is the perfect example of a bride who rolls with whatever her wedding day brings. It was so windy during her ceremony that her veil blew off her head and jetted into the sky. (She literally found it a tree the next morning!) The beautiful show continued (now with a fun and memorable story). And after they became husband and wife they celebrated with family and friends in a modern and glamorous reception in the Miami Beach Edition ballroom. You definitely won’t want to miss this swoon-worthy affair.
Sarah’s Wedding Dress Search
I tried on over 20 dresses and finally chose this one because it was the perfect meeting between a sexy, edgy look and the romantic, more classic vibe that my mom had imagined. I also knew that I would always look back on this dress and despite it being en vogue and somewhat edgy, I would forever still be happy with the choice.

Why She’s Selling Her Wedding Dress
When I got engaged I had the idea of wearing my moms dress or doing something with it. But when I tried it on it felt outdated and I wanted to wear something new and special. I figured if I have a daughter one day she would probably feel the same way. So why not someone else enjoy this dress now as much as I did!
